Club Deportivo Guadalajara (pronunciación en español: [ˈkluβ ðepoɾˈtiβo ɣwaðalaˈxaɾa]);[1] a menudo conocido simplemente como Guadalajara ([ɡwaðalaˈxaɾa]) y su apodo Chivas ([ˈtʃiβas]), es un club de fútbol profesional mexicano con sede en Zapopan, Jalisco. El Guadalajara es uno de los diez miembros fundadores de la Primera División de México y junto con el Club América es uno de los dos únicos equipos que nunca han descendido a la segunda división[2].
El Guadalajara es el único club de fútbol en México que no permite que jugadores extranjeros jueguen para su club[3][4][5][6] El equipo ha enfatizado constantemente a los jugadores de cantera y ha sido la plataforma de lanzamiento de muchos jugadores exitosos internacionalmente, incluyendo a Javier Hernández, Carlos Vela y Carlos Salcido[7] Los tres colores del equipo (rojo, blanco y azul) simbolizan “Fraternidad, Unión y Deporte”. Los fundadores del equipo adoptaron los colores que les unían a su país de origen, Francia. Los seguidores del Chivas utilizan una bandera idéntica a la francesa para apoyar a su equipo. La mascota del equipo, así como su apodo, es la cabra o chiva. Chivas es uno de los equipos más laureados de México[2] y ostenta el récord de la liga mexicana por la racha de victorias más larga al comienzo de una temporada, con 8 victorias consecutivas[8]. A nivel internacional, Guadalajara es el mejor equipo mexicano que ha disputado la Copa Libertadores, habiendo alcanzado las semifinales en dos ocasiones (2005 y 2006) y siendo subcampeón en la edición de 2010[9].

Sports tournaments and competitions in which students enrolled in the different centers that make up the University Network in the State of Jalisco participate in the disciplines organized by the National Council for Sports in Higher Education (CONDDE). These disciplines are: chess, athletics, basketball, baseball, futbol bardas, futbol soccer, aerobic gymnastics, weightlifting, judo, karate, tae kwon do, tennis, table tennis, indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. Swimming was added on a promotional basis.
